Okay, so yesterday we said we would do the ‘travel thing’ today. We were going to until we found this hot little number.

How about a designer that takes recycled materials and makes them into clothing and fashion items? What if this designer had a retail location in Montreal? What if this designer had a really cool website?

I know, too good to wait on!

‘Molly Klute’ is all that. An excerpt from their website explains everything: ‘Driven by the desire to be recognized as the founders of an environmentally responsible enterprise, Geneviève(s) Dumas and Flageol have created a whole range of clothing and accessories made from recycled materials. Their products distinguish themselves from others, as much by their originality as by their avant-garde edginess. They are part of this generation of designers who put forward their environmental conscience to develop a global branding strategy, a common vision to generate new tastes. Moly Kulte restyles, accessorizes and blasts a jacket, some shoes or a skirt with “Kulte” elements, a little unexpected something. Directed by two artists, as get background in visual art, graphic design and publicity, the aim of the enterprise is to blend together experience, know-how, creativity and multidisciplinary talents to create a fresh new approach of fashion and life in general.

Moly Kulte open his own atelier-boutique right on 4523 St-Denis street in Montreal. Grand opening on October 2006.’

Words can only say so much, check these ‘girls’ out. You will enjoy what you see. http://www.molykulte.com
